This is an ancient Scythian Seal depicting two mountain goats. Believed to be from the Scythian Tribe (Sasanian Empire) of ancient Persia, 19th Century BC, this seal was found in Afghanistan. Worn as a pendant, this pale gray agate seal has a 2mm horizantal hole, with lovely worn yet clear carving. 26mm wide x 22nn tall x 14mm thick. Worn smooth rounded back. One in my collection of 30 seals, many stones, including carnelian, agate, iron ore, and jasper. All unique and highly collectible! The gold imprinted relief is silly putty, to show as clearly as possible the impression.
